Bee Rock Park

The park is located on the Pulaski-Laurel County line and offers a picnic area, primitive camping sites and hiking trails. Seasonal (April – October)

Bourne Park

Bourne Park is a beautiful place to bring your family. Located at the corner of Marydale and Bourne avenues, Bourne Park is centrally located and features a splash pad for children. The park also has two large public-use shelters.

Children’s Botanical Garden of South Central Kentucky

This special garden is located in downtown Somerset at the Pulaski County Public Library and was created for children and the young at heart. The garden encourages children to use all their senses to connect plants to the sciences, history, literature and the arts.

Citizens Park

Citizens Park is a peaceful hidden gem. Citizens has a small shelter available for rent and a small playground for children. This park also has regulation horseshoe pits and a large multipurpose field below the playground.

Cole Park

Located in southern Pulaski County, Cole Park has tennis courts, basketball, baseball, playground, a shelter and picnic areas, grills and horseshoes.

Elgie Woods Piano Park

This one-of-a-kind piano park was built at the old homesite of Miss Elgie Woods, who gave piano lessons to local community members for 66 years. This park is a great place to take a break and listen to the relaxing sounds of waters rushing over the granite piano keys of the stage that sits in the center. Musical performances are often held during the spring As you relax, you may notice music notes in the iron fence enclosing the park, or the 12-foot ruler that serves as a sidewalk to the entrance. The park was landscaped by the Lake Cumberland Master Gardeners. Visit our calendar of events to find out when musical performances will be held here.

Located in northern Pulaski County, Eubank City Park features an 18 hole disc golf course and is home to many community events, including the annual Independence Day Celebration in July.

Ferguson City Park

Ferguson City Park is located at the old Ferguson school, which is now used as a community center. The park has picnic area and play area for any type of gathering.

Firebrook Community Park

Firebrook is the second dog park in Pulaski County. Local Boy Scout Riley Vanover took a portion of the park and created a dog obstacle course for his Eagle Scout project. Firebrook hosts a Kite Festival every year, trunk or treat, and many other community events. Also located at Firebrook is shelters, walking track that follows a Readers to Leaders book trail, and playground.

Fischer Fun Park

This gorgeous playground at Somersport Park includes ramps and a rocking boat for those in wheelchairs; sensory equipment for those with special needs, including devices to make musical sounds and animal noises; a 25-foot-tall viewing tower; a giant bluefish bridge; slides, swings, and a wheelchair-accessible Ten Spin, similar to a merry-go-round.

Located on Fishing Creek and owned and operated by the Army Corps of Engineers, the recreational area offers picnic areas, grills, playground and campsites. Boat ramp is closed.

General Burnside Island State Park

General Burnside Island State Park is the only island state park located in Kentucky. The park has a launch ramp, picnic areas, grills, shelters, golf and camping sites.

Huffacker Willow Park

This park is one of two dog parks located in Pulaski County.  Built and opened in 2013, Huffaker Park offers not only a dog park, but a large multipurpose field. This park also features a playground and a small shelter. While your kids are playing or dogs are running, you can walk around our paved walking track that encircles the park.

Miracle Museum

The City of Somerset’s newest park, an inclusive play space designed to meet the physical, sensory and socialization needs of others, is the first of its kind in the United States.

It is located at the corner of Spring and Maple streets downtown behind the Pulaski County Public Library Main Street branch.

The park features equipment designed to appeal to multiple senses, making the play experience richer by engaging children more fully in play and enhancing cognitive development, fine motor skills, language development and self-awareness. Studies prove sensory play experiences are essential for brain development in all children. For those on the autism spectrum, with ADHD or other sensory needs, this playground equipment can provide important exposure to sounds, textures and pressures that help with sensory sensitivity.

The park is located in western Pulaski County and is owned and operated by the Pulaski County Fiscal Court. On-site, the park offers picnic areas, grills, shelters, camping, playground and 18-hole disc golf courses, plus 16.5 miles of hiking and mountain biking trails.

Rocky Hollow Recreation Area

Located in downtown Somerset, Rocky Hollow is operated by the Somerset Parks & Recreation Department and serves as its main office. The park offers a walking and jogging track, amphitheater, basketball courts, racketball, an outdoor walking trail plus a new 9-hole disc golf course.

White Lily Park

White Lily Park is located at the White Lily Community Center in eastern Pulaski County. The park features a gym with kitchen, two shelters, an amphitheater, softball field and playground.  Reservations may be made by phone.

Zollicoffer Park
