Whiskey & War Stories – Center for Rural Development, 2292 S. Hwy 27, Somerset, KY, 11am-1pm. Somerset-Pulaski Economic Development Authority, in partnership with Lake Cumberland Tourism, the City of Somerset, Somerset-Pulaski County Chamber of Commerce, and Burnside Tourism, present Whiskey & War Stories, a historic, memorable luncheon featuring the founders of Horse Soldier Bourbon. Guests will hear legendary stories from legendary men — men who were not only the first U.S. Special Forces soldiers to enter Afghanistan on horseback following the 9/11 attacks but who, upon completing their service, embarked upon an adventure to create a legendary bourbon brand. Now that brand will make its home in Somerset-Pulaski County, the community is thrilled to welcome the founders of Horse Soldier Bourbon for a historic, memorable luncheon to hear stories of their service and commitment to their country and our community. Tickets are $20 if purchased prior to Sept. 22, and $25 after Sept. 22. Purchase tickets online www.eventbrite.com/e/speda-presents-whiskey-war-stories-tickets-99357673476.
