In honor of Lakes Appreciation Month in July, the organizers of USA Today's 10Best Readers' Choice Awards are on the hunt for the best recreational lake in the United States. A panel of travel experts hand-picked their top 20 as nominees, and now voting is underway to crown a winner. Lake Cumberland joins some of the largest and most well-known lakes across the country — including Lake Placid, Lake Tahoe and Lake Michigan — in this contest, and as of June 29, ranks second!

Help us make Lake Cumberland the winner by casting your ballot. You may vote once per day until voting ends at noon ET Monday, July 20.
